It's that time of year again when the SAFW literally dominates our social calendars with all the fun fashion thingies to attend. I sadly couldn't make it to the Winter collections or the Elle New Talent Show this year because I was busy procreating but I am really looking forward to 'popping' by the SAFW pop up store in Sandton this week (it opened today). It's a fantastic initiative to help fuse local designers into mainstream retail. It's also a great place to pick up some great locally designed items and even have a chat with some of the designers if you're lucky.
In similar news - SAFW has also partnered with Edgars and launched the Designer Capsule Collection at the Melrose Arch Edgars store. This capsule collection will showcase the designs of many of our local favourites such as; Black Coffee, Lunar, Two, Clive Rundle, Colleen Eitzen and Chanelle as well as 2 or 3 rotating designers every month. How exciting!! And how huge for the designers involved!! I can't wait to go take a look and once again shop up a storm... sigh..
